Some of the pictures are showing the incorrect lighthouse, there are 2 in a nearby vicinity. Cape Tryon is not really open to the public, while you can approach the lighthouse, you cannot go inside of it. The picture of the red and white lightouse is actually up the road and is New London Lighthouse (which is not accessible). This... More

This has to be one of the most beautiful places in the Northern Shores. The view was breathtaking. There are fences to keep people safe, but it doesn't appear that anyone really follows those rules. The road is really bumpy and only wide enough for one car. There is a farm road that runs parallel that you can exit on... More

It is a very bumpy and narrow road that only fits one car,you have to pull over if you meet up with another car. The end result is spectacular!

We stayed at a B & B on the road that lead up to the beach/lighthouse. Though we could not go inside the lighthouse, we took many pictures of it. There are nice views of it from the road but especially on the beach. So pretty to look at!

Well off the beaten path, this hidden gem on PEI is well worth your time. A classic old lighthouse, but the views don't stop there...Walk (carefully) along the fence line for some incredible vistas of the Atlantic Ocean, and the deep red cliffs abutting it. Turn your back to the ocean and see the lighthouse silhouetted against a field of... More

Nice lighthouse and very quiet beach. The actual lighthouse was not accessible, and to try and find it without some local help may be difficult. Gorgeous area and ecosystem though! Worth finding if you have some extra time.

Not accessible from the road. We couldn't find it, but we were told if you got permission to cross private land you could get to it.

What a view.. Worth the trip down a PEI dirt road. Because of the difficulty finding this light house it is not a common destination. No noise tourists.

Getting to this lighthouse was quite the excursion. You have to travel down some dirt roads before you even get to the road the lighthouse is on. If you go slowly enough and navigate the parts of the road that have been washed out you'll be fine. I ended up not being able to find it because my GPS and... More
