I arrived in the winter and got to see the whole fort minus the crowds. Everything was closed for the winter and that is why I suggest you see the fort in the spring/summer. Even with everything closed it was just stunning to see all the war time item. In the summer, I can only imagine how great this place... More

I cannot wait to come back! We were in Victoria during an 'off' season for most attractions so we didn't get to see every aspect of some of the places we went. This place seemed to fall into that category. They did have some work happening on the grounds but we were still able to explore the majority of Fort... More

This is a great Fort to visit for a once-off journey down the history of the area. It is informative but a bit boring for kids.

Such a charming and beautiful lighthouse to visit. The displays are interesting and informative. Fort Rodd Hill also has wonderful displays and a fantastic peek into our country's history. The grounds are beautiful and provide lots of opportunity for exploring and picnics.

We have visited many of the fort parks in the Pacific NW and were anxious to see a fort in Canada. This site is very well maintained. There were some very nice exhibits. The building attached to the lighthouse is open. It was nice to be able to see where the lighthouse keeper lived. If you like history you should... More

We loved this place. It was a little over an hour on a beautiful point enjoying the old fort from the late 1980's up to the Second World War. We saw seals and military boats. A great way to spend the afternoon.

My son and Daughter-in-law had their wedding at the Lighthouse. We visited the location the previous day and it was so beautiful. Our Family is from the East Coast so it was so special to be able to celebrate this special day here. Robin (our park contact) went above and beyond to make sure this day ran smoothly. This Historic... More

This place was actually really neat. I expected to just see the lighthouse, and was pleasantly surprised to also be blue to tour Fort Rodd. I love historical places and this one fed my soul. Such a neat place to explore. Well maintained for its age. I highly recommend it!

When traveling we always like to seek out lighthouses. This was an easy one to get too, and was on the historic Fort Rodd Hill location. There was a small fee to enter the area, but not much. The actual fort is undergoing renovations and we did not spend any time there, which was ok cause I was mostly interested... More

This is an amazing place. It is currently under major restoration at the moment though and the lower battery is closed. They have also added lights throughout the entire property. Must look amazing at night. They also offer tent cabins now for up to 6 people that look amazing. Lots of history. Cool spot once they get the renovations done.
