The main concept is a series of houses dedicated to a craft or a type of dwelling typical of the period. The restaurant at the entrance has no forks - only knives and wooden spoons. The fare is similarly based on the menu of the Middle Ages. There is a so-called Science Park with the various siege machines and practical... More

The Middelaldercenter / Middle Ages Center is very realistic. Its a "town" called Sundkøbing where there is a small Middle Ages settlement or city as you may put it. Everything has been reconstructed and is homemade. Even the nails they use has been hammered by the "local" blacksmith or you could say the "on spot" Blacksmith. The staff dress in... More

We visited here on a lovely summer's day. There was lots to see and do. Our 9 year old loved the science park and watching the trebuchets being launched into the sea. We, the grown ups loved the middle ages village where you could see how people really lived back then. We were shown how wool was dyed and how... More

After having spent some five minutes feeling a little like two adults who had just entered a park primarily for children, we thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the day. The centre is beautifully situated, the buildings and interiors are incredibly interesting, the gardens and surroundings are lovely, the staff and volunteers friendly and knowledgeable, and the activities interesting for adults... I expected quite a lot from Middelaldercentret, but it did not entirely live up to my expectations. It is ok, good to visit for kids, but a bit small. The town part was nice, but it was not very big. I would not travel to the area only for this. Visit Knuthenborg and Møns Klint also.

We went on a sunny spring day and it was glorious. The buildings are well-made and interesting. Lots of volunteers make it an interesting place to visit. The firing of the Trebuchets is quite a show and exciting for the kids. Unfortunately, the knights are not there on a Friday so we missed them. The science park is rather quaint... More

We loved our trip to this Medevil center. There are daily tournaments with Knights, which was a real treat. Lots to see, do and experience. The kids loved it too.

My wife is Danish and has never been here. We decided to give it a try and we did not expect the amount of entertainment the park had. There was educational and historical attractions for the adults while at the same time keeping the kids (boys 7&11) fully engaged.

This was a unexpected highlight on our Denmark-trip. The park has quite a lot of interactive exhibitions where the kids can get to try out a variety of medieval things ranging from childrens-games from the time-period to fictious "medieval technology" of various sorts. They also have a complete medieval village that is both beautiful, interesting and informative, and every day... More
