Ok, we city-slickers really found this amazing! The dogs were able to bring the sheep to any spot the shepherd wanted, split the herd, and bring one sheep up. The shepherd hand-sheered the one sheep, allowing the guests to take a turn at the shears....More

This is the real deal. A working sheep farm where you get to see them in action. The sheepherder, Neil, has won championships and can do wonderous things with his border collies. It's breathtaking to see him control a dozen dogs with verbal commands and...More

This was the most incredible demonstration I have ever seen. The Sheepherder was able to control six dogs with just the sounds of his whistles. It was truly amazing to see and if I hadn't seen it myself I would have had trouble believing it.

Well worth a visit, interesting and good fun. Great for kids to see shearing up close, feed a lamb and handle a sheep dog puppy. Bit pricey but good fun

This is definitely something everyone should have the opportunity to witness and not a hint of colour ... all black and white, sheep and dogs. We watched in awe as Neil and his team of seven dogs tirelessly worked and herded a flock of some...More

Visiting Shepherd Neil was an optional trip on our "bus cruise" of Scotland (Trafalgar). Those that didn't choose to go missed an absolute highlight. Unparalleled joy! We had an overcast and somewhat drizzly day, but that hardly mattered. The guests all sat on rocks or...More

The Shepherd was so knowledge, as expected with this being his life experience. The dogs were so well trained and was amazing to see them herd the sheep. The Shepherd also provided other demonstrations and information eg sheep shearing and anything you wanted to know...More

You’ll simply be amazed how the shepherd can herd sheep with 6 dogs. This is so much more than one man and his dog. The dogs rush off and disappear from view, and return with the sheep. It’s just amazing. This is generations of knowledge...More

We were staying in Aviemore which is about 20 min away by car. There isn't much to in Kincraig where the farm is, but Aviemore has a few good restaurants and is a good base to tour the Highlands.
