I enjoyed the tour. I have done other chocolate tours and thought this was the best at explaining the chocolate making process. I loved the 'eat as much as you want' chocolate tasting. (A cup of coffee would have made it even better!) This is an adult information tour and is not geared to children. I agree with another reviewer... More

We visited this Chocolate factory but it was not running while we were there. It turned out to be a Nestle Chocolate Factory because they bought out the original owners a few years ago. Even though the factory was not running during our visit we received the full tour and it was educational and a good experience.

You must have an appointment and call if your are late....as we were. We missed the last English tour , agreed to an Italian tour in the late afternoon. A young intern saw there were 6 who would prefer an English tour and made the decision to do a Special tour for only us 6. His special tour was very... More

Tour was great fun and the sampling was open-ended. We actually had to stop ourselves. The plant was not operating that day, but it was still neat to see it. If you try to find it via GPS, the street address will likely lead you to the wrong building (Il Perugino, which is a giant Conad building; great shoe deals... More

This would have been a fantastic experience had the factory been in operation but sadly, once we were taken onto that area, all was quiet. My advice to you would be to go when they are in operation. I believe that is from July till December. Worth checking out. To say that they are generous with the samples is an... More

This factory tour was seriously disappointing. I was tempted to give it just one star, but I feel bad leaving negative reviews!! I'm not really sure how they could have made this tour more interesting--especially since the actual factory was shut down for one of their scheduled breaks. (Sure would have been nice to know about this when I made... More

We enjoyed our time at the Perugina Factory. We were told when we arrived that the factory was closed that day for repairs, so instead, we had a demonstration by one of the chefs as to how they made the chocolates. This actually might have been more interesting than seeing the factory! The demonstration was well done (and delicious) and... More

Perugina is now owned by Nestlé, but it doesn't mean that the famous Baci candy has suffered in quality. They make something like 1.5 million of these a day in this spotless factory. Best part: free samples!

We enrolled in the 3 hour Scuola del Cioccolato and it was a blast! I speak some Italian but the chef is understandable if you pay attention. I think the Scuola is only in Italian. We learned about chocolate, and made over 2 dozen truffles and an entire tray of chocolate with hazelnuts and /or almonds. It is extremely hands... More

This could be any factory making anything really, I think they should try and do something extra to make it more appealing. It's a little boring for children but could do so much more.
