Great Family Farm with lots to offer
I visited the farm today having found it via Facebook. Lovely welcome from the lady server in the farm shop. There are lots of local makers' produce in there, with items suitable for gift giving. I bought some of the fresh garden produce on offer- I believe a lot of this is grown on the farm itself. I visited the restaurant as a walk in and ate a delish lunch- the mushroom soup tasted really delicious. The seating area upstairs is decorated in a 'Scottish type style' really nice and relaxing. Downstairs, the seating also looked welcoming, I think that it's essential to book, especially at the weekend, although i was a talk in and they were happy to seat me with only a few minutes wait. Lots of car parking and very easy to find, as the farm is just off the East Lancs Rd (A580) There is a wide of plants, trees etc all at great prices. Highly recommended

    Pumpkin picking
I’ve visited the pumpkin patch with my children for the past 5 years & it never disappoints. It shows the hard work put into making it a wonderful experience for all, it’s very well organized, the staff are always friendly and accommodating. Also very reasonably priced in terms of the the price of rides, food/sweet stalls and pumpkins compared to other farms. Thank you Grange farm!

    Disappointing pumpkin picking!
We have been pumpkin picking at Grange Farm every year since my son was born (5 years) and after this year I think we will be looking for somewhere else. The fields are horrendously muddy, I completely understand this can't be helped due to weather (and my little boy loves a bit of mud!), but it has resulted in fields of rotten pumpkins that weren't actually fit to buy or carve! The staff were rude, especially the owner who shouted at us for not 'putting the pumpkin back where we found it, as this is why they're all so dirty and we're in this mess'. There wasn't a clean pumpkin in the place, the one we were returning was actually rotten underneath and we certainly weren't the problem. The car park is over crowded and too tight, people were struggling to park while staff were yelling at them to put full lock on, which in my opinion is not at all helpful when you're trying to concentrate and it's your car that you've park 3000 times before. Nothing is included in the price, so we paid £20 to stand in a muddy field and ended up with a pumpkin off the shelf because the ones in the field were rotting or barely round. The maze was closed, the restaurant was closed, the rides were extra and the food stalls were a burger van and a coffee cart. All in all, my son had a great time as he's happy jumping in mud but, tickets had clearly been over sold, it wasn't as enjoyable as previous years and we were disappointed.

    Mother’s Day
Above and beyond We where a last minute booking for a party of 5, we knew they where fully booked however i private messaged Leanne and she went above and beyond rearranged the table plan and contacted me back the same day to say she has managed to squeeze us in! The day didn’t disappoint either we were shown to our table given a free glass of fizz which we thought was a lovely gesture. Then out came the starters in which where delicious which then followed with the roast and might I just add the meat was to die for so tender and tasty 😋 and then out came to desserts which where to also impressive, very good portion size , the staff went above and beyond even though it was very busy they made sure everyone was looked after, will definitely recommend. Thank you for a lovely experience

    Service lets the food down
Met friends there for breakfast one quiet Friday morning. Food was absolutely delicious, couldn't fault it. Shame the service let it down. The blonde lady brought our bill without asking if we wanted anything else. She then asked us for the table back so she could get ready for 'her' lunchtime regulars! We were one of three occupied tables in the restaurant so it was extremely quiet and felt ridiculous that we were being asked to leave. We definitely outstayed our welcome and will not be returning!

Visiting with my daughter from London, we arrived at 11:40 to be told the lunch menu did not start until 12:00. We were quite happy to wait until 12:00 with a coffee but apparently this was not possible due to changeover from breakfast to lunch. The restaurant was extremely quiet. The owner also mentioned there was a 1.5 hour grace period per table which seemed irrelevant to me. As we were not prepared to stand outside/come back in 15 mins, when the owner said ‘she could squeeze us in’ we left.

Seems a very perculiar way to run a business. Unfriendly and unwelcoming. Lots of other places to eat and catch up nearby.

Such a lovely place but the lady manager/owner shouldn’t be anywhere near the place if she wants to keep customers coming back the complete arrogance and attitude towards the customers and her one member of staff Joanne working like her life depends on it such a lovely lady to talk to and couldn’t do enough for us she should be the one managing the place. A lack of staff and a manager/owner who thinks she’s gods gift let’s this place down if you enjoy being spoke to rudely then this is the place for you. If not go to bents much better

We visited for the Pumpkin Festival and upon arrival we knew it was going to be muddy so we were prepared. However it was so muddy that it actually posed a health and safety issue; I personally don’t think it should have been open at all. Pumpkins were covered in mud and the field was extremely wet. However, we persevered and selected our pumpkins to take home. The social media pages had advertised ‘food and drink stalls’ but the only thing there was a cheap burger van and a ‘coffee’ stand that just served instant coffee. As well as this, the fair was nothing more than a single children’s ride. Very misleading advertising and won’t be returning.

Very disappointed with our pumpkin picking experience yesterday. We paid £18 for a family of 4 to reserve a time slot. There was a huge queue of cars when we arrived and it was horribly busy. The farm shop was closed and the play area was inaccessible. Loud music came from the fairground rides which was not the farm experience we were hoping for at all. The pumpkin field was sparse with very little to choose from, aside from fly-covered rotten pumpkins and litter which looked as though it had been there a long time. It was pretty horrendous.

It appears as though the organisers have only thought about profit and given little thought to customer experience.

Terrible. Cashing in by overselling tickets and providing below par experience. Huge queue of cars to get in for our time slot. Paid £14 entrance which gets you nothing. Small funfair rip off, maze was closed. Then the most horrendously muddy field of rotten pumpkins (think a really bad Glastonbury), nightmare to push wheelbarrow through. Told off for not reading the sign - anything you pick up you have to pay for. No prices anywhere, 'I'll do you' £20 for 3 medium pumpkin and 2 tiny ones. Worked out I'd paid about £60 for a truly rubbish couple of hours
