The castle is falling a part so not much to see inside but again if you're into history and can imagine what it was like then by all means pay and go inside like I did. If you don't understand Arabic or French then do your research about the history of the place to understand and appreciate what you'll see,... More

We actually went looking for the fort and my wife got seriously distracted by having to pass through the street market to find it!! It was a fine old structure with some good views from the battlements, nothing exceptional but well worth the few Dinar to get in

A nice castle, once you get to the top there are some nice views to see. the steps on one side of the fort are better than the others, the ones towards the back are very steep

The fort is in good shape but unfortunately is showing sign of not only age but also of careless. The area is not that clean and I recommend to Tunisien Governement to take action before it is late. For example the Skull Tower that is near by is in a deolate state.

Really enjoyed this. It is the old Fort overlooking the harbour. It is now ruins, but was very interesting to walk around and see the views.

This looks like it could be a fantastic place to visit. The views from here are nice and we enjoyed it. We were a little disappointed that the signs are only in French and Arabic so we could not tell what we were looking at - this made it feel like a wasted trip as we could not appreciate the... More

Close to Djerba Marina, you can get a wonderful sightseeing over Mediterranean Sea and a nice time by visiting one of the oldest monuments of Djerba. Since you well be close to the marina I also recommend that you take a trip on a pirate boat or that you visit Houmt Souk's market.

Let's just say that if you skip this place on your trip is not at all a big loss.. We had some problems with a few locals, the area around Fort Ghazi not safe enough for tourists
