A very scenic beach that is very rocky. If you go it is very helpful to have water shoes. There is a lot of walking and climbing to get to the beach so make sure to bring good shoes and water. This beach is not...More

We got there by bus from Perissa. Please note the bus does not drop you right on the beach; get off at the tree opposite the museum, there is a sign pointing the way to Red beach. You walk past various car & quad bike...More

Santorini is not an island you come for fabulous beaches. That being said, this beach is a geological marvel, with it's red pebbly "sand" and rusty red cliffs (pebbles are red near the water, the sand further to water seems more black with a hint...More

Everyone tries to direct you to go and see the red beach. I found it overcrowded, very pebbly if not rocky, could not see how to enter the sea would be a pleasure rather than a treck! Did not stay!

Red beach is vibrant and spectacular. A private boat trip to see the beach in all its glory from the sea is a strong recommendation.

Quite spectacular view indeed! White and red beach/cliffs right next to each other. Best way to see and experience it would be on a boat cruise where they let you jump into the water and swim around a bit, the beach itself is uncomfortable -...More

This beach was so different! The color of the beach and cliffs had such a beautiful contrast with the aqua and blue water!! Difficult to get to but beautiful!

The best thing about this beach is the approach and the surprise of encountering the red cliffs meeting the sea. The beach was not very big and it was crowded. The water temperature was under 20C for sure at the beginning of May.

Of course, when you are going to the beach you approach it from the south-east and you can have great photos from the top of the hill, where rest of the loonies start descending to the beach itself.

I was there in May but there were no huts in Red beach. In black sand beach you have huts to stay with offer from hotel. As far as red beach is concerned take your own towel sun cream and have a dip . enjoy your stay... More
