My wife and I had the pleasant experience to visit Lamington National Park and O'Reilly's Lodge. The Lodge offers a great (but relatively short) boardwalk with lots of birds and lizards to view. We also had a very good lunch at the Lodge. Wish they offered free wifi in the lobby of the Lodge, but that is not a major... More

The drive from Canungra up the mountain is spectacular and speed should not be more than 40 km (signed at 60 km) to enjoy the views and Kangaroos, which one will see on the way. The lodge rooms are well equipped and have wonderful views to the mountains with great sunsets in the evening. Satin Bower birds, King Parrots, Crimson... More

We were staying in Surfers, and decided to get out of town and into the hinterland for a day trip, so chose O'Reilly's Rainforest for the bird feeding, and treetop walk. It was a good day, and a nice trip into the hills in Lamington National Park, but be prepared for the road to get extremely winding (and quite narrow)... More

Lovely villas with spacious kitchen and fully equipped cooking space fire place and romantic spa bath on deck. Prices are a bit steep but if you bring your food and cook in villa it is worth it. Saw lots of wildlife and did great hikes. Would recommend a mountain view villa as it has amazing views . Breakfast is not... More

We have stayed here on a few occasions and loved every minute. We visited again whilst here on holiday. The cafe and the gift shop were extremely disappointing. When it was Gran O'Reilly's the outside area had clean tables and it was a pleasant area! The whole area needs to be spruced up. Very sparse choices of food and a... More

Spent the day at O'Reillys and went on a few walks including the suspension bridge forest walk and Python Rock lookout where we spotted some wallabies during the bush walk. Pleasant lunch at the cafe. The 1937 story of Bernard O'Reilly and Stinson crash plane rescue prompted me to buy his book 'Green Mountains' and later watch the movie adaption... More

While just 35 kms from the local town and on the map not far from the Gold Coast, the trip to O'Reillys turned out to be a really tough drive. The 35 kms in from the nearest town is a really narrow winding road with lots of blind corners and single lanes areas. We narrowly avoided leaving some paint on... More

We did the treetop boardwalk and visited the overgrown and neglected 'Botanical Gardens' - because that's where everyone goes. But what was really worth the walk were the lookouts towards and past Moran's Waterfall. Spectacular views rewarded us for the hike. You can also enjoy great views - 360 degrees - just past the Alpaca Farm on the way up.... More

a drive out from the Gold Coast....it was an amazing day trip with a stop at O'Reilly's winery then on to the Rainforest! A great hiking/walking area with lovely growth and a wonderful place for photo ops with beautiful birds landing on your shoulder or head! Harmless...but amazing to be so up close!
