Get the forest’s different perspective, take a close look from above! You can be eye to eye with the birds and animals of the rainforest while sitting comfortably in the seat of our Swiss-engineered aerial tram system. Gliding smoothly through the tree tops, you will experience firsthand the sounds and peace of the deep tropical rainforest. One of the Gamboa’s tour guides will accompany you to describe the flora and fauna that you will see. The 1.2-kilometer ride culminates at a hill top where you have the opportunity to visit the Observation Tower. After walking up the spiral ramp, you will discover a panoramic view of the Chagres River, Panama Canal, Embera Indigenous Village, and the Town of Gamboa. All surrounded by lush mountainous rainforest. Recommendations: comfortable clothes, binoculars, water. Departure times: from Tuesday to Sunday. Closed on Mondays for maintenance

This is a great time. I'm not much for heights but this was so easy. The naturalist was knowledgeable and had lots of information to share. At the top of the tram line is an observation tower. It's high but an easy incline to walk to the top where you can see the canal, forest and Indian village in the... More

I am a little wary of heights, but this tram ride didn't make me uncomfortable at all. We didn't see many animals from the tram, only a few birds and an agouti, but we were there in the middle of the day. There was an oropendola nest very close to the tram. I was impressed with our guide; he was... More

short arial tram ride and climb up of a tower at the top.On the ride up and down a guide speaks about the rainforest. Seems a bit expensive at 40 a person for what it is.

Very unique experience. This cable car does not have window so you can freely take good quality pictures without any obstacles. Also, you can breath fresh air too. If you are lucky you may spot Toucan or sloth too.

Okay, no animals were viewed, but that was okay as the ride thru the rain forest and to the top was magical. Just very peaceful and serene. At the top, you walk on inclines to the top of a viewing tower (no steps!) Views from there were excellent. Then back down where you also see the butterfly area (yawn) and... More

Highly recommend doing this while you're in the area. We didn't see much in the way of wildlife, but it gives you a good perspective of the area. A guide goes up in the tram with you and they are very knowledgeable of the local plants. Heights do make me a bit nervous, but this felt very safe - even... More

We did this tour as a group. Great day at the resort. Tram ride was fun and our guide was knowledgeable and fun. Thankfully no rain whilst on the ride, but when it pours it buckets down. Smooth safe journey through the trees. Not much wildlife to be seen thou... only ants and a bird or two! Also visited the... More

We did this tram as part of our tour to Lake Gatun. The tram ride was pretty nice and the climb to the top of the tower was worth it. Do not do this if you are afraid of heights. Skip the butterflies, frogs and orchids that are typically part of this tour if you can.

Very nice views and great guides. You have to be able to also walk up 9 flights of steps which they don't tell you about. Bring bug spray
