Visited whilst on holiday in the area. Audi guide was available which made the visit all the more interesting. We were here around 2 hours and enjoyed every minute. There was also a good museum indoors with lots of artifacts. A great little gift shop...More

Interesting remains of a roman city, largely it just the footings still visible, the bathhouse is the most complete and that's not very complete,

Only a fraction of Wroxeter remains, but fragment is very impressive, particularly the huge free-standing wall. The site is dog-friendly, and the reconstructed villa across the way is very interesting too.

It can be hard to recreate in your imagination what a Roman settlement was like in its heyday but English Heritage do a splendid job here with the audio guides and signage.
