Amazing views, lots to explore and even something for the kids

This would be a great outing for a rainy day or something similar to the hot and humid day we visited the Chateau. Parking is easy to find in the large carpark at the bottom of... read more

A great chateau to visit, they even have clothes you and your kids can dress up in to look the part. The chateau is magnificent and definitely worth a visit.

We went round, it's not amazing but it's good, loved getting the history and the archive area was very old and interesting....

This is such a great chateau to visit with interesting areas to wander through from top to bottom. It is excellent condition and the children were impressed with the history and the caves beneath the castle.

This chateau may have seen better days but it is, nevertheless, fascinating inside. The family trace their ancestry back into the Scottish Royal family and have been prominent in all stages of French history since the 16th century. My friends and I found the whole viewing extremely interesting. It is an absolutely must if your interests lie in European history.... More

A wonderful chateau with a fascinating history. We arrived just in time for the guided tour which gives you access to the fascinating library room which are otherwise locked. The tour was in french but I suspect our charming guide spoke perfect english! It was lovely to wander through the rooms and then down the fabulous staircase (based on the... More

We live quite near to this beautiful chateau and we visit every time we have guests staying with us. We never tire of going there as we see something new each time. Most of the chateau is visited unguided but a written explanation is available in several languages. The two magnificent libraries are visited by guided tour only but the... More

This would be a great outing for a rainy day or something similar to the hot and humid day we visited the Chateau. Parking is easy to find in the large carpark at the bottom of the castle and the 200 yards or so walk up to the top isn't too strenuous, although if walking IS a problem, I think... More

We visited the Chateau today, we were greeted by lovely staff who spoke good English. The walk around the Chateau was very good, with plenty of ancient art and furniture to see in very interesting rooms.

We were delighted to have our daughter's wedding here recently. There is a chapel and a terrace for the cocktails. Downstairs there is a choice of several atmospheric baronial rooms for the wedding breakfast, although it has to be said, for the caterers the non modern kitchen facilities leave a lot to be desired! Still we chose a company who... More
