The Irving Eco-Centre, aka The Dunes, is a wonderful stop for anyone. The boardwalks about 800 meters long and follows the beach. At several points on the boardwalk you can go down to the beach which is over 10 Kim's in length and very 'walkable...More

Nice little Eco-Center with some interesting information about the area and the history. On a clear day can just see PEI from the center. Boardwalk has been partially rebuilt since it was destroyed by storms. But nice area to walk along boardwalk or beach

If you love the beach make a point to visit .....you can walk on this beach for hours without the crowds . Watch for the sand piper they do a lovely dance on the sand by the water. Tranquility and nature at it's best .

If you have the chance to take the time, take a few hours to walk or ride a fat bike beyond the walkway. We did this last summer and the lighthouse at the end of the dunes was our reward. Secluded and spectacular!

Unfortunately we were running late and the buildings were closed and staff gone. However, the information boards along the boardwalk were very informative. One set of information boards was especially good in that it showed the changes in the dunes due to storms and erosion...More

Pets are not allowed on the beach. There are shaded kennels to keep your pets, so you may enjoy your day on the beach.
