This is an eye opener, especially if you are interested in WW2 history. The small shop/museum does not prepare you for the vista which opens up as you enter the site. you can spend as long or short a time as you want, but young children might get bored

Extremely interesting site, multilingual explanation signs, you can visit at your own pace, great sound installation on multiple locations throughout the park, with interesting spoken commentary. The bunker is amazing, as is the story of WWII and the V2 missiles aimed towards London. Can't recommend highly enough!

German ingenuity as its worst and best. What an edifice this is. At once scary and awe inspiring. A perfect example of German and Allied efficiency from totally different directions. Built with slave labour largely by Jews from Russia and mainly Belgium this monstrous building was to wreak havoc, but only for a limited time before if was rendered unusable... More

Despite being told an English tour would start in ten minutes (actually closer to 35!) there was no tour, just a self-guided one. We quickly caught up with the French party who had started 35 minutes earlier and who had obviously caused our delayed entry, they did have a guide! We had to hang around waiting for them to move... While staying in St. Omer, Northern France for the Euro 2016 football tournament, a group of 3 of us visited the the Blockhaus world war 2 rocket bunker in Watten. It would be a really easy trip by car but we came by public transport. The bunker is only one stop on the train from St. Omer, but unfortunately, there... More

I warn that i have an interest in WW2 and in particular the logistics. this bunker is for those keen to learn how the V2 weapons program MIGHT have worked had the Germans succeeded in finishing the site. The sit was a manufacturing plant for fuel and an assembly plant and had it been finished the war may well have... More

We were staying at the camp site next doors and have been meaning to visit here for years, the estimated visit time is 1.5 hours, we were there over 3! We were not prepared to be so overwhelmed by this looming structure that was built by the Germans using many Europeans to launch V1 and V2 bombers to destroy Britain.... More

Well worth a visit to those interested in WW2. Shocking but fascinating. Shows clearly how things were back in 1940's.
