While roaming on our rented Bajaj Avenger we wanted to visit places which not usually crowded but have some good ratings. When we did search in google this one carried good positive reviews. Since we me and my wife love history as well environment of the place we visit, we thought let's visit this place. It's a small museum that... More

Nice to learn some things about Goan architecture. I love the building it is in and the surroundings. Overall I found the information slightly chaotic, but nice pictures, Goan music, and objects to see ;)

"Houses of Goa", a unique museum by reputed architect Gerard da Cunha, encapsulates for posterity the phenomenal outcome of the amalgamation of eastern and western architectural styles. The museum is built as a traffic island in Torda,Salvador-do-Mundo,Goa.Strangely enough it is in the shape of a triangle and resembles a ship.Viewed from the outside it is a mystery, but as you begin your... It was in the way to Aguada fort and and we just took right turn from main road.Very small and cute museum..loved the coffee they serve down the museum and it was relaxing break in the rush visit to other places.Nearby Mario's art gallery is interesting to visit and you will get a small free gift in museum tickets coupon.

This place is difficult to find but it is really worth the effort it takes to locate it. Its attraction is twofold. The building itself is like an arc and very attractive. The contents of the museum are fascinating for everybody who is interested in Goan architecture. There is also a chance to listen to Goan music as there are... More

The place is clad with memories of old heritage of goa. The architecture is fantastic and you can meet the hands that sculpted the building just a block away(appointment/luck necessary). The historic stories are interesting and can be listened sitting on a cantilevered bench through the earphones. Typical Goan music also available. This place is a hidden gem for seekers... More

This is a hidden gem... looks great... lots of interesting stuff on how different cultures affected the design of the houses in goa. Very refreshing. It's a bit far from touristy north goa but well worth the visit
