One of the best coral stone churches in the Philippines

Argao Church was the first stop in my southern Cebu solo trip and it was worth the stop. I took a tricycle from the main highway to go to the church and town plaza. Its ornate design and the rich history make it a must-stop for this journey. Around the complex are other interesting sights such as the Baluarte and... More

One of the oldest church in Cebu. This century ++ old church is one of the best standing church you will find in the province of Cebu. I am lucky enough to marry someone from Argao giving me all access to the church. Unfortunately, my last visit made me sad because they are trying to destroy the original beauty of... More

This is a very nice old Spanish Church go and give a look on the way to the south. The Church is simple and beautiful and on a hot day you also can cool you down inside the church!

I love the village of Argao. This beautiful historic church sits on the plaza where many other original buildings are still in use. It's just steps away from the pier and waterfront. You can see it from the national highway so you know when to get off the bus.

South Cebu is good for heritage tour and perfect for religious activities. Argao should not be missed for both reasons. Argao is not famous for the church, but for their torta (which taste I cannot comprehend!) Any tips or info how their torta was made? Sorry, but it taste very bad! Argao is one of the cleanest and nicest town... More

Rally nice old church and park. Very old and is near 19th century Spanish church which is now the hall of justice. Inside you will find amazing fading art and many bats living high above the alter. Gives the place many sensations.

This 18th century Roman Catholic Church is dedicated to St Michael the Archangel. It's Is done completely in stone in Hispano-Filipino style and has a romantic, historic aura to it. It is one of the most beautiful churches of the Philippines and is certainly worth a visit when in Cebu.

Absolutely where I wanna be wed. This should be preserved and loved by the people. A place of peace and serenity. A place that will bring you 300yrs back in time. I love how people value the church as they may have probably did only a few and minor changes (well, of course to preserve it.)

Very nice place to visit. The preservation of the entire church is very good. You can also find good spots inside and outside the church for pictures. The surrounding area is also plays host to a few relics of the past besides the church.
