It's a great waterfall to visit on a hot day. It takes about 40 minutes on the bus to get there (5000 COP/person) and the entry fee is 7000 COP/person. We hiked the 40 minute walkway to the lower part of the falls where you can take a dip in the small pool. It was a nice day out and... More

My wife and I decided to try this an it did not disappoint. You sign up and get a briefing at the bottom. You then hike up to the top of the falls. The hike is of moderate exertion, as there are some steep sections. You get some great views of falls as you hike up. At the top they... More

The natural beauty of the site is spectacular, as many places in Colombia. Even though you may find many people (it's a quite touristic and known place), it stands out thanks to a good management highlighting the need to care about nature. Also, it is big enough so that you can still be on your own in some places. Great... More

The place is located in rural are of Paramo village, in the road from San Gil to Charala. There is parking, restaurant, restrooms and a trekking path to the waterfall. It's a short walking, maybe 20 minutes, and after that, you'll arrive to a natural pool below the waterfall. You can swim in the cold waters and the service of... More

From the bus station in San Gil you can get a bus going to Charalá. Ask the bus drinver to stop you at the waterfall. It's around 40-50 min drive ( the road was not very pleasant in september beaucause there were a lot of construction work going on). I paid 7 pesos to a nice lady (it's the fee... More

I was in San Gil for three nights in August 16 and the highlight of my time there was Juan Curi waterfall... The waterfall itself is spectacular and it's only a short 15 minute walk from the main road it costs 7000cop to enter which is very reasonable, but the most amazing thing about it is you can do repelling... Get up early and walk to terminalito. First bus to Charalá at 6 30 will take you to the falls. Make sure you enter de falls "donde Efigenia" she will fix you a great "almuerzo". The falls are just beautiful. It is about one hour easy hike, but careful. Rocks are slippery. You will get your shoes wet.

We took the bus here- it does take a while but I thought it was worth it. Rather than stop at the main tourist entrance (where people meet to do the rappelling trip) we went one farm further down the road to access a "secret" trail to the waterfall. We paid the nice lady who runs the finca about 10k... More

If you like hiking, (and of course you like if you are at San Gil), don't miss this place that conects you with nature and offers beautiful landscapes. Go before it's too late coz I've seen through the years how the water down to the cliffside its almost gone, specially when the dry season comes. hiking, waterfalls, nature, adventure, all... More

The bus ride to the falls should take half hour but due to the construction, that may not end for at least another year, it can take 1.5 hours. There is a well-marked, short hike up to the falls. When you get there you can scramble up rocks using one of two ropes either up to the left or right.... More
