I traveled for 14 km to look for the glaciers, stayed at Bhojwasa, but could not see any sign of the glaciers. The localites told me that it has shifted much beyond Gomukh in summers. So I dropped the idea of going further.

We went for a trek to Tapovan and crossed these majestic glaciers enroute. Its definitely recommend for all trek enthusiasts.

From Gangotri to Gaumukh only and back , how many days is needed? How do we make bookings to stay in places near Gaumukh? Unlikely cellphone reception available? Do we have to do the trek with very warm clothes ?
