Small but beautiful outside seating area. Home cooked food to order which was excellent. The service was superb and the choice of drinks good.

Joined a friend for lunch here at the weekend. The drive from the M4 through the country lanes was a delight with rabbits, pheasants and many types of birds keeping us company on route. The pub itself is a very nice country inn which is also a hotel. Three real ales were on during my visit and all were very nice! Food was very good and plentiful. Mains of pork belly with mash and veg, roast beef with all the trimmings and a beef and stilton pie with dauphinoise potatoes and vegetables - large portions, our plates were emptied. Starters of mushrooms, very good and prawns - only bad point point - not really decent prawns. We would definitely visit again everything really good. Total cost for three with drinks and coffees £74, good value. All in all worth hunting out this place.…

Once we managed to find the place (not easy even with a Sat-Nav,) we were able to find a place in the small car park. We arrived at 6:40 p.m. and were told that the kitchen opened at 7:00 p,m,. Thus we had a drink first and just after 7 p.m. the friendly bar lady came to take our order. The food did not take very long to arrive and it was very nice, and not too expensive. The pub looks fairly old and late arrivals will need to park on the narrow lane outside. However, our visit was a pleasant experience.…

Local pub with local values although beer is expensive. Good food and friendly service. Excellent garden for when sun is out. Covered outdoors at front when weather not so good.
