We visited Annie & Ross recently on our way through Taupo. Their Gallery is situated in the valley behind Acacia Bay. Ross & Annie greeted us warmly, sharing some of their expert knowledge on pottery making and the stories behind each unique pottery piece with us. The brilliance of colour and colour combinations of their glazes as well as the classical shapes of their objects of art are astounding. There is a fresh, modern and light feeling to in their highly finished products. Whether you are looking for a present or a great piece of pottery for your own enjoyment, there is something there for everyone.

Artistic experience

I visited Ross & Annie at their studio and was openly welcomed in and given some insights to their pottery process and personal journey.

I enjoyed hearing the stories behind the creative process and what some of the pottery meant to the artists.

If you did want to take some of their amazing art work home, there is sure to be something to suit everyone. With a story behind each piece of art you will leave with some very unique pottery.

This studio is easy to get to with a nice drive through Acacia Bay. I recommend this experience provided by Ross & Annie, who are highly skilled artists of their craft, and the opportunity to appreciate the art created.

Amazing Pottery Gallery
Feb 2019 • Couples
This afternoon we visited Tukairangi Gallery where Ross Palmer, the Potter and owner of the gallery gave us a demonstration of how he creates his beautifully handmade pots. As he molded the clay with his deft hands, I was reminded of the song below:
Take me, Mold me
Use me, Fill me
I give my life to the Potter's hands

Whatever is created depends entirely on the potter and his creativity. We are therefore, beautiful creations when we allow God, the greatest Potter to mold us.

It helped us to appreciate the intricacies of Ross’s creations when Mrs Anna Palmer explained how each piece was being created. The enthusiastic and friendly owners made the visit such a pleasant and delightful time. #rosspalmerpotter #tukairangigallery

Taupo Art Trail with a friend

We were trying to explore the local artists and found this pottery gem! A bit tricky to find but worth the adventure.

Lovely friendly couple greeted us and showed us their pottery and we had a long look around.
Couldn’t leave without buying something of course after viewing of all these beautiful things, definitely a place to come back to next time in Taupo.
