There is no castle, golden or eternal! If they didn’t charge 50$ for entrance would be kinda ok for sitting on the bench... You can do nothing somewhere closer to town instead!

It is really just brick wals with a surrounding moat. Even the cannons are replicas as the originals were sold or disappeared. Not worth the trip unless you are close by.

There’s quite a no of museum at Tainan. Visited this 3rd museum on the same day. Tickets at TWD50 for adults and TWD25 for students. So pls bring along your student ID for verification purpose. Happy museum hopping!

This attraction is far from others. There really is nothing to see apart from the gate and open former grounds. Do not waste your time coming here.

This is just a small but well maintained fort. There's nothing much to see except the fortress and some cannons but it's also a nice place to have a stroll especially now in November, the weather is beautiful. The toilet here is excellent, clean and...More

As the Tainan City Bus to Anping district stops here, I thought I should not give this place a miss. The adult ticket costs only 50 NTD (students and elderly get 50% off at 25 NTD!) and you can take pictures at the grand entrance...More

The name of this place may sounds exotic, but in reality it's just a fancy name for an old fortress built in the late Qing Dynasty (c. 1870's). The castle gate is an arched opening accessed by a bridge which in those days, could be...More

Its an old fort that is surrounded with a moat. We saw some paddle boats for rent, but the scenery around was not that exciting. I was hoping for a museum inside the fort that housed items related to the fort but there was none....More

Anping District is the area first developed in Taiwan.
It is also the key to Taiwan’s involvement in the
international community. The two famous historic
monuments, Anping Fort (a.k.a. Fort Zeelandia) and
Eternal Golden Castle leave behind them the traces of
international trade made by various countries. Another
historic monument that stands the test of time is Tree
