Amazing view of the sunset, coupled with the therapeutic crashing waves below, it's a must-visit at uluwatu. Beware of the monkeys there though, they are very skillful in snatching hats/sunglasses from people visiting the site.

This is an impressive and iconic temple on the west coast of south Bali. There's a long walk away from the temple itself to a strategic viewing point that offers a spectacular view of the temple. I saw at least one monkey on the way...More

We are looking to visit the temple for the one night we are in uluwatu. We should arrive to our hotel around 6, 6:30 and the temple is about 10 minutes away. I know the temple will still be closed, but will it be possible to walk around and take in the view. I know there is a dance the occurs at night that starts at 6, so I am unsure if that would affect this. Thank you!

The place is open till late evening. Temple, tourist and foreigner are not allowed to enter. It's more for the view and kecak dance at sunset this is famous. Be prepared to walk up steep and keep things safe from the monkeys. More
