This is a wonderful indigo workshop that preserves a traditional indigo folk art. It's also incredibly beautiful, but if you don't have the time for a workshop, you can shop the professionally-made indigo clothing, tote bags, and other very charming things.

Taiwan has plenty of DIYs that would keep kids busy and happy and one which makes handicraft loving adults very happy as well would be the tie dye experience at the Sanxia Indigo Dyeing Centre, just a few minutes’ walk away from Sanxia Old Street....More
