Took the short drive out of Hendersonville up the winding road through the Laurel Springs community to this scenic spot. Nice view of the mountains. I am sure in the fall the colors will be very pretty.

At the recommendation of our B and B hostess, we eventually plugged in JOR in our GPS. The drive up was cool residential mountain roads. The view...outstanding....I mean outstanding. Very easy walk...accessible to everyone. A must see in H-Ville area

If you appreciate a beautiful sunset and view then definitely make the drive up to this viewpoint! Just gorgeous. We visited several times during our stay and even read about the legend of the rock online.

You don't have to hike the trails, you're parking, literally 150' from the rock and there are benches that allow you to extend your stay. Depending on when you go, you might consider a jacket, it gets very breezy up there... More
