I've walked around this forest since I was a child & still love it. It's beautiful in Winter, Summer, Spring & Autumn. There are benches throughout the walk for picnics. Lovely family or solo walk.

We were staying at Cabra Castle but before we could check in at 3, we were looking for places to spend some time beforehand. This walk looked to be very local and simple so we decided to stop by to pass an hour or two....More

Path flooded,had to turn back with buggy this time of year, A pity. Also very badly signposted to location. Im sure its lovely in the summer months.

This is a great place for a walk because it's got everything, the lake, forest very good paths, parking and you can make your walk as long or short as you feel like.
