I went there as many places in phuket but the remarkable event that my wife liked a pearl bracelet and Pearl neck chain, first we doubt in the price as I wrote "natural product" and when we asked the people their they directed us to a blond female and she told us that this is a real pearls but from... Do not shop at this store!! Spending money here is supporting extreme animal cruelty. An innocent baby elephant is on an extremely short chain, on hot concrete, with no water in front of this store every day. What sort of life is this? This baby is so young it should still be suckling from its mother. It is clearly distressed... More

Why would anyone support a business that tortures baby elephants? It was so heartbreaking to see a baby elephant chained up with wounds from those very chains. He is so young and should still be nursing from his mother. How shameful.

who wants to see a poor baby elephant who is clearly in distress and has obvious puncture scars?!?! The way this country treats its elephants is appalling!!! Anyone that visits and takes pictures of any baby elephant or takes an elephant ride in this country is contributing to this abuse. These people ripped this baby from its mother and keep... More

I am anti this store for many reasons. For one they sell cobra, stingray, crocodile, and elephant leather. They also support the use of a baby elephant as a prop for tourists, which is illegal in Thailand. The manager of the store, a Ukrainian woman, knows nothing about the care and feeding of an elephant. She thinks it is fine... More

Outside this store you will find a two year old elephant baby stripped from her mother, forced to do tricks for tourists. "Pinky" is a wild animal, but everyday she is put on an incredibly short chain outside of a souvenir shop in Phuket, Thailand for hours on end for human entertainment. "Pinky" should still be nursing for one or... More

Any decent human being should be ashamed to patronize this establishment. They keep a baby elephant chained in there as a gimmick. And they advertise that they sell products made from elephant skin. These are horrible horrible business owners.

I read a lot about it and thought it is a place to visit. But it was a big disappointment. Local market are much better especially if you are good at bargaining. This place has not good quality and I doubt about cheap price some times. So it is better to buy present somewhere in local places like Friday market... More

I have visited Phuket four times and this is a must do place for souvienirs. This place is air conditioned, very clean, and not to mention cheap.... There is no haggling or barter here, everything is marked with a price and you can shop in comfort without any hassles. They sell everything from wooden elephants to fridge magnets, fan, spoons... choosing to get there was a great idea. You experience the real thai market, which is full of different odours :) The worst part for us was the meat section, oooh really really bad for european´s eyes. But otherwise you can buy some traditional peppers or buy delicious fruit and vegetable.
