I've been in caves in many places in the world. I haven't enjoyed any more than I have Grotte di Stiffe. There are other caves with more spectacular stalagtites, stalagmites, curtains, columns, etc. The things that make Grotte di Stiffe so great are 1) it is not overrun and crowded; 2) There are not cheesy lighting effects, dioramas, or other... I went with my friends and they enjoyed. The staff is really helpful and well organized from the ticket office to the guided tour into the Stiffe caves. Please don't touch stalactites and stalagmites. Also on Sunday they organize canyoning.

Lovely place to visit, especially on a hot day as the caves are so cool. The tickets are purchased at an 'out post' location (the signs take u to this) then when you buy them you're given a map to drive a further 2km to the actual cave. This surprised me so thought I would share the info. Guide speaks... More

These caves are a find! In a region that isn't so well developed, these caves are a fascinating trip for a day out. Beautiful drive through mountain vistas to get there but good roads and clear signage. In August, they run buses up from the car park where you buy your tickets but in other months, you drive up the... More

Very interesting visit to the caves. The waterfalls were fantastic. The path was easy with an even surface and no low areas. The tour lasted about 50 mins.. The guide spoke in Italian but the noise from the water meant that she did not say a lot. They were wonderful caves and the only regret was that the guide seemed... More

Congratulations to the people who constructed the intricate walkway through the grotto. It manages not to intrude on the natural wonder. Guide apologised that the tour commentary would only be in Italian but this didn't matter. The place describes itself. Bit steep at times but rails and ropes are there to help.

This is an amazing cave with an internal water stream and a waterfall. It has been arranged beautifully, without damaging the natural scenery. It's about 700 mt long, with an easy and safe walk. The guide was very kind and helpful, giving explanations both in Italian and in English. It was a great experience for the children, and the adults... More

The walk to and thru the caves can be tiring but well worth the extra effort. The sights are impressive. Not recommended for claustophobics, though, as some areas are a little tight. Imprssive waterfall to end the tour.

This was an amazing experience. The caves were stunning. The route is 2km in and out. It is an easy walk. No tight spaces. Spectacular natural beauty. The nearby waterfall walk is also well worth doing.

These caves are really amazing. The tour we took wasn't in English but they were available at another time.
