The mausoleum's dome, or gonbad, is over 150 feet high and is the highlight of the complex. Covered in turquoise, the dome is a fine example of early Islamic architecture.

Although it's under restoration, Soltaniye Dome is amazing, from out- and inside. One should consider the age of the building before deciding it was amazing or not.

I visited this dome several times. Iranian Islamic architecture is waving in it. Soltaniyeh turquoise dome is visible from a distance of 5 km. Other attractions can be found around Soltanieh's beautiful dome

You cannot find any other dome in Iran which has the spirituality Soltanieh has in its ambiance. I experienced a truly lovely moments there between the beauty of coloreful seramics, fabulous brick arts and amazing architecture.

A great architectural building made of mud with about 700 years old! The patterns on the walls and vaults are awesome. The building is under reconstruction but fortunately you are allowed to go inside.
