Good Wine and Food

Owners has extensive guitar collection and plays for you. Food was very good and home cooked and paired well with the local wine.

This is a lovely old house and the gardens were qell maintained. Our party of four were not impressed with the wines but everyone has their own tastes. Try them for yourself.

We had heard about Whiskey Gully from friends and were keen to check the place out. The venue itself was beautiful and cosy, but the service was terrible. We ordered some tapas-style plates at around 7:30pm and had only received one small plate by 10:30pm!! We asked a couple of times about the food and were assured that "they were... More

The restaurant at Whiskey Gully Winery is what brought us back. Nine of us (that's where the women bit fits) dined here and were entertained by owner/host John with his delightful singing and wonderful playing on at least three of his guitars (he has a collection of at least ten on display and just selects some to play on each... Truly a great weekend. Quiet, private cabin at the back of the winery. Stocked with plenty of wood for the fire, a great breakfast and even fresh home baked bread !! The degustation dinner in the winery restaurant was an absolute pleasure with plenty of local foods and great flavors. To top it off, chef and owner John came out... More

This was our last stop on a tour, they made it entertaining and informative. John played guitar from his amazing collection hanging on the walls. and sang at the end of our tasting. Lovely wines, stunning venue.

This homestead is just beautiful. A fantastic place for lunch or dinner. The restaurant is situated within a gorgeous old, renovated heritage home.

Lovely tapas lunch menu, and equally lovely wine. Worth popping in to pick up a bottle and admire the views.
