The whale watching tour was the worst experience while we were in Sri Lanka. We wanted to have a good time while whale watching because it should be an amazing experience to see blue whales around you. The boat was crowded and some people didn't even had a seat. We were like 50 people on a small boat. At the... More

We took a whale watching trip in the end of October. The trip itself was nicely organized, we had small breakfast and tea. There were some whales swimming but do not expect spectacular views (maybe because of the "low" season). We saw a tail of one and that was it. And be prepared for a sea sickness. Our boat was... We saw 3 blue whales very close up. The best we saw surfacing for about 90 seconds. Everyone was able to get a brilliant photo of the dive. We also saw several other whales spraying from a distance. We were worried about seasickness as we went just before the season really starts. However, we felt fine and only one of... More

I really can´t understand the good reviews I am reading about this attraction. For me was a really dangerous experience I would never recommend. Be aware the trip is very far, just to get to the whales spot takes two or three hours (of course you have to come back after so add few more hours), and if the sea... More

Friendly staff on our boat. We got to see what we were there to see, a whale. I think it was a humpback or a sperm whale. The sea was really rough, and quite alot of people got sick. Wouldn't do it again in that weather.

Whale watching is being organised from Mirissa and Galle port by Sri Lankan Navy, two times per year. One during June-July and another in November-December. The booking is required to be done beforehand and usually the trip begins at 6-00am. Very nice arrangements are being made by navy. The journey is inclusive of fooding. But u need to take some... WARNING - Unless you plan on feeling shocking for 3 days afterwards because you have sicked out everything in your stomach then don't do this trip besides January-April. I hate being embarrassed and despite taking a sickness tablet, I very quickly became ill. My stomach hurt so bad that I started crying. I hate being sick infront of anybody and... More

DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU ARE PRONE TO MOTION SICKNESS (even if only slightly prone). This may sound silly but I did not quote realise how bumpy the ride would be and ended up feeling incredibly seasick for the whole trip (and remainder of the day). Saw 2/3 whales, but compared to other whale watching experiences I've had it... More

It was pretty nice experience to make this trip. It took 3 hours at all and we saw three whales,no dolphins. It costs 2000Rps. Photos we took were bad, because it was difficult to catch it or it was far from us. We got breakfast and water at start. Many people on the boat had seasick because of the big waves.... More
