After a delicious lunch at Cibus, we stopped at Caffe Centrale for some sweets. We got two cappuccinos, two confectioneries and two huge liquors for just 8,50 Euros!

We loved their biscuits made of almonnds, famous for this area. Biscuits are filled with jam in middle. We have tried pale and dark colors. Yummiiiii.... Staff has been friendly.

We stopped here a year ago and returned here again to frenzy ourselves over some wonderful Easter pastries. Sugar, lemon, cherry compote, rolled into a delicious and satisfying cake/donut textured whatever that's a traditional Puglia thing and made only at Easter according to the pastry chef. They're made just across the street from Caffe Centrale. Each time we've found the same pastry chef working the morning shift. He had some larger than life 'Timbit' kind of pastries to die for. I ate four of them in a row on my last visit and took another dozen away with me. Sorry I can't recall what they're called but everybody in my gang fed on these treats like a pack of lions over fresh meat. There's a second part to this cafe that does crepes, probably for the afternoon and evening crowds. Never mind that though. Wish I could eat another four of these delights right now.

A really super ice cream eaten comfortably sitting listening to music. The bitter chocolate is worth a try.
