They provide everything you need from pick-up at the hotel in Reykjavik to coveralls or rain pants, and helmets. The horses are adorable and playful. Enjoyable ride with great views.

Came here with a group on the Game of Thrones day tour to see these beautiful Icelandic horses for about a half hour and they did not disappoint😀. They truly are full of personality, spunk and life. I loved being able to spend time petting them and just watching their interactions with each other during feeding time. I couldn't believe... More

We were blessed with a beautiful day and a fun ride on playful Icelandic horses. Fjorded the river several times and giggled the whole way. It's helpful but not necessary to have ridden before as this was not a nose to tail trail walk but had several stretches where we tolted and giggled the whole way.

I'm getting tired of writing that everyone in Iceland was super friendly...but it's true and the staff at Laxnes were no exception. We arrived very early (like 2 hours early) for our ride and they suggested a nearby bakery where we could get a pastry and kill some time. We did that, then came back. They outfitted us with rain... From head to toe they fitted you out. The horse was chosen for you to match your size and mood. A gentle walk along the river and the it took off which was a bit of a fright. You soon get in the swing of things and begin to see the countryside I do wonder how jockeys ever have families

Riding Icelandic horses was a fun and relaxing way to spend an afternoon after landing and being a bit jet-lagged. The horses were very sweet and well-behaved (and super sturdy). The staff picks a horse for you after getting a sense of your riding experience, and someone helps you get into a body suit (was needed because you can get... More

Went here for horseback riding, it is absolutely beautiful. The horses are beautiful and very nice, and the views are amazing. I would definitely recommend this! It's a little pricey, but worth it. It is a bit physical, if you have back problems it would be best to stay behind at the farm and enjoy a beer with the view... More

The Laxnes Horse Farm is only a short distance from Reykjavik and we were able to fit in a morning with the beautiful Icelandic Horses before heading to the airport for our 5pm flight. The farm was beautiful and they had plenty of helmets, coveralls, boots, hats and gloves for riders. The ride does involve crossing through some shallow steams... More

As a horse owner and lover, I was with 3 other people who don't ride. Laxnes did a great job matching them up with amazing horses and because it was so beautiful we got to ride in the mountains. The experience and the views were breathtaking! The owners were kind and genuine people who made you feel at home. I... More

As a horse lover, I absolutely loved this tour. New to riding horses, my husband even liked it!! The horses were picked for you based on your experience level, which was nice. I rode a pony named Western and my husband rode one named Cinnamon Bun. The ride was long and so fun!! We walked some, did the in between... More
