I always like coming to a city's botanic garden for a stroll. This is a good place to escape when visiting Mt Tamborine when you are ready to move on from the shops and cafes. It is not the biggest botanic garden I have come across, but it is well maintained and nice and shady.

Who would have thought that there would be a botanical gardens, complete with lakes (we spotted ducks and turtles swimming slowly around), Japanese Garden, Orchid House and countless colourful flowers on a mountain top? Free entry (with posts for gold coin donation, and a plant sale Wed/Thurs morning).

Dear eslaah I am pleased you were able to visit our Gardens and hope you will be able to come again. We have been building an area for Children, The Sooty Owl Creekside Trail, but I am not sure who enjoy it more, children or adults. The Gardens cover 22 acres, surrounded by rainforest, and I think there is something... More

The gardens were a little tricky to find. It was a steep little drive in a beautiful residential area. There is plenty of parking and no charge. The gardens are lovely to walk around and the kids love exploring. The volunteers do a fantastic job. Well worth a visit and take the camera!
