We stopped at the Precipice trail during our visit to Acadia National Park. During our May visit the precipice trail is closed due to the Falcons nesting on the cliffs. Still saw some amazing views and got lots of great photos. Remember your bug spray!!...More

Fantastic hike near the top of our ability range. A couple places have narrow ledges with iron hand rails attached to the mountain face. Don't overthink it, but don't let go. The views were rewarding. Protect from sun.

you are going up up up most of the time and a map can help you keep your bearings...If it looks like you are off the trail...stay cool and review the map and all will be fine....a lesson learned from my first trip many years...More
