Lovely road through a town and by the sea

Interesting road. We saw fishermen and their catch, and of course, the gorgeous rocky seacoast! A Must see in Acadia.

We have been visiting Acadia National Park for my whole life and I can never get enough of it. The sites are always changing and the ocean has a mind of it's own. Hiking trails off the loop road are among the best anywhere and Sunset atop Cadillac Mt. (where the sun hits the US first) is amazing. There are... More

Gorgeous ocean views. Places to turn out to take perfect pictures. Remember to turn right towards Sand Beach or you'll miss it.

Its a one way drive and you need a park permit. There are many places to stop and enjoy the park and views.

The Park loop is the big road running through Arcadia National Park which you'll automatically follow when driving around. It offers some of the most magnificent sites in Arcadia NP and is sure not to be missed. We went there at the start of August and it was surprisingly calm. We expected a lot more tourists and people but were... More

Wonderful views of the pink rocky coast of Maine, including driving to the top of Cadillac Mountain. It is best to avoid the heavy crowds of the summer months. Perhaps October would be best because the exhibitions would be open; we just missed them.

ABOSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, and yes practically nothing has changed. All the trails are still pristine and even the moderate ones are good. Take your time and look around, don't be in a rush. There is so much to see. You can plan a whole day @ Jordan Pond Loop and Bubble Rock and hike back for lunch at the Jordan Pond... More

My family and I took a trip to Acadia this summer, and drove on Park Loop Road several times. There are so many places to explore along this route, and the views are amazing. Such a beautiful area. It is definitely a must-do to add to your list when planning a trip to Acadia National Park.

This is such a beautiful drive. If you go into Acadia National Park then you will be taking this road. There are many places to stop at lookout points and take pictures along the way. One of my favorite drives.

The road begins as you climb out of Bar Harbour to Cadillac Mountain. The colors were perfect and man trees were a brilliant red. Leaving the mountain you can continue on the loop road to see and experince the beauty of the area. There are beaches, picnic areas and hiking trails to enjoy. The are areas you drive through thane... More
