We traveled to the Badlands during winter. There was not another soul on the road we were on. I’m still not sure how exactly we got off the loop and onto dirt road, but we got to see many bisons along the way. We were...More

I thought the Badlands would be beautiful but perhaps a bit boring. I couldn't have been any more wrong. Loop Road winds you around alien landscapes and with lots of stops along the way that offer varied opportunities to "ooh" and "ahh," hike, and see...More

If you don't plan to take this don't bother stopping at Badlands. This is pretty much the only road going through the place. You'll get to see most of the badlands just driving on it. Plenty of stops along the way. Most of the badlands...More

We had friends who did not have time to see this park, but we are happy that we could fit it in. We toured during the day and then went back in the evening to attend a night time presentation given by park rangers. They...More

Easy drive, well marked. Stunning views roaming through the park. We saw buffalo, cayotes, big horn sheep, deer and of course prairie dogs!

We had a limited amount of time to spend in the Badlands Park therefore we chose to travel on the loop road to see as much as the park as we could. I definitely recommend spending a minimum of a full day in the park...More

After spending a few days exploring the Badlands, we decided to look for a good spot to view a sunset. We found it! Loved this Loop Drive.

Very interesting and unique landscape viewing from this road. There are a lot of places to pull out and take in the vast scenery. If you're traveling Interstate 90, you'll be glad if you decide to take this detour.
