The park is amazing. We found ourselves stopping so often to wonder at new views that eventually we would just do a slow roll-by.

All of the overlooks in the Badlands give you a great view of something different. It could be wildlife, formations, colors or topography...they all are a different experience worthy of a stop and an opportunity to get some cool pictures.

The colors are just amazing. Be sure to read the signs and walk to the walkway. The eye sees so many different landscapes at each overlook. Burns Basin did not disappoint.

Sunset is especially dramatic here with the shadows that are created within the geological formations. Big views, amazing natural features, and sunset will make an unforgettable memory of the Badlands. Stop here for sure!

You will not want to miss any of the overlooks that you find along the Loop Drive. Take the time to go exploring where there are trails.
