Very nice area and nice short hike. This is a high elevation hike so expect to be winded. The trail guide is interesting and was a good companion for the walk.

At the end of the drive, there is a nice hike to Warner's Point that offers a very nice panoramic view.

We enjoyed this hike, which was moderate in difficulty (some moderately steep parts). Our family did it easily. The views at the end are really good. If you have to skip this, it is not the end of the world, but it is a great way of getting out of the car and stretching your legs.

This area is about a 1.5 mile round trip. It involves uphill and downhill areas. We took one of the guide books along, and during the uphill spots, we used the guidebook as a rest stop at the marked points. The hike is at an altitude we aren't used to, so it was harder breathing for us. The rests were... More

It's a short hike with great views in both directions. Their are some stairs and both up and down inclines but the view at the end is worth it.

I admit, if not for an earthcache halfway out to the point, we wouldn't have taken the time to hike out. But I'm sure glad we did. The views are spectacular. It's rocky and steep in spots, don't expect a paved pathway like most of the other viewpoints.

The final stop on the South Rim Road in the Black Canyon is Warner Point. It is the longest hike to get there (about a half mile round trip) but well worth the time. There was plenty of parking and even a few RV spots. The trail has a guide book that you can pick up at the beginning of... More

Although this hike is only ~1400 m, one-way, it is pretty strenuous and feels longer. But, it is worth it! The views are excellent and, if you are lucky, you may get to see a bear lounging on a rock, enjoying the stunning vistas.

Warner point has some amazing views of the canyon. You can see forever on a clear day. I think the trail going to the point is also a lot of fun. You can get a trail guide and look at all the types of plants in the area and there are a lot of good photo ops for someone who... More
