Thors Hammer is a rock formation in the perhaps most scenic place in Bryce Canyon. You can take your car and easily visit all of the view points in one day, as they are all very close to the main road. Thors Hammer is easily seen from the viewpoint, right at the beginning of a trail.

If you take the Navajo loop trail you can get great photos of Thor's hammer. Well worth the hike down from the rim to get the photos.

This is probably the most iconic of all the hoodoos in Bryce Canyon National Park. Located just below Sunset Point on the Navajo trail, Thor's Hammer is well known to every hiker and visitor to Bryce, by the square hammer on the top of the hoodoo.. Make sure that you see it while in the Park.

Thor's Hammer is THE iconic hoodoo at Bryce Canyon, It is nice but there are plenty of breathtaking hoodoos, buttes, mesas, windows and bridges in the Park. I felt the Amphitheatre overall is more remarkable. There are several smaller hoodoos in the park with capstone that have allowed similar erosion of underlying sedimentary layers that look very similar. Still, its... More

Thor's Hammer is a landmark hoodoo located on the Navajo Trail between the Sunrise and Sunset Points at the Bryce Canyon Amphitheatre. Here you can see a tall individual hoodoo which somewhat resembles Thor's hammer. It is an easily recognisable land formation if you know what to look for. If you can't find or are unable to pick out Thor's... More

Thor's Hammer is just one of thousands of beautiful sites at Bryce Canyon National Park. There are numerous trails for visitors of all abilities that allow you to experience this magical park. We were visiting in March when the weather was mild, but there was still snow on the ground. It was an unforgettable experience.

Great place to visit. You could just walk the rim trail to see it, you don't have to go down for it. Great pictures!

If I had to define one piece that defined Bryce Canyon National Park for me this would be it! We were at the park in early March when there was a lot of snow and ice on the ground. Therefore we were not able to hike around it. However, I would say that my favorite spot to photograph Thor's Hammer... More

Thor's Hammer is on Navajo Loop. You can walk just a little ways down the loop to see Thor's Hammer, but I would highly suggest doing the whole loop.
