The views from Sunrise Point are wonderful, but the best way to experience the splendor of Bryce is to hike down into the canyon. This is one of the ideal places to begin such a hike.

You get a different view of the canyon at each viewpoint. This one is just a short walk to the Bryce Lodge and where you get the trails rides into the canyon. There is also a trail into the canyon here as well.

It is worth to wake up earlier to see the sunrise. Be prepared take warm clothes, it can get pretty cold before sunrise. Just a short walk from the Lodge. Incredible colours and formations. It is just beautiful to see the sunrise over the amphitheatre....More

My husband found sunrise the best time for taking pictures at Bryce. There is also a General Store (with showers and laundry) at Sunrise Point.. Well worth the time.

As you approach this location the view is breathtaking. Ensure you walk the 0.5 mile or so, relatively easy walk to Sunset Point. New vistas just open up in front of you. We saw deer, prairie dogs and many birds in this area.

You climb up to a viewing platform with commanding views is the canyon and its fantastic rock formations. You can also descend from here for the short but strenuous hike to Queen' Garden.

We were here at about 5.30 pm, opposite time of sunrise. But the location is pretty at any time of the day and we loved walking in the trail.

After visiting Bryce Canyon make sure you take drive up to Bolder through Escalante State Park and on your way south to Vegas drive through Zion. You will never forget that trip.
