Visited in May of 2016 and Canyonlands was the last leg of our journey. In fact we stopped at Mesa arch to conclude our Canyonlands adventure with a picnic lunch. Spectacular can't adequately describe the view from this spot. It's simply divine. If you're not...More

Make time to do this easy hike; it is worth it. The view is stunning. We were there at sunrise. Bring plenty of water.

If you get there early and I mean early you’ll be lucky to get a spot to capture the sun rising - when we got there all the professional photographers were already there lined up with their tri-pods - this is a very popular spot...More

As you are driving along in Canyonlands, make sure you take the walk to Mesa Arch. The best photo shots come at sunrise as the sun illuminates under the arch and the rest of the valley. Bring water, sunscreen and comfortable shoes. It could be...More

This was my favorite arch in the Moab area. This was my "wow" moment. Just a beautiful view and a nice little hike to get there.

Even though I had visited Arches National Park, I was ready to view another arch! This one must be hiked to from a parking lot. It is on a loop trail. The hike is not too strenuous, though there are elevation changes. You can climb...More

If you are staying in Moab. I would leave at least 75 minutes before sunrise (depending on hotel location maybe even earlier) The scenery on the way in is spectacular even 20 minutes before sunrise! Better to get there early... More

The arch is in the national park. Anyone can drive into the park to see the arch. If you want the pictures at sunrise, get there early. People are there up to an hour before sunrise to get the closest spots.
