Can’t really explain how awesome this is. Pictures don’t do it justice. The hike in is quick and not that hard. The view is better than you would expect. The arch is on the edge of a huge drop off. Breath taking. Don’t skip this...More

If you want to see arches, go to Arches Nat. Park. This is a small arch with a big drop off, which is probably the coolest thing about it.

Mesa is a hidden gem and EASY to see and get to. Don't be fooled that its not in Arches National Park. It holds its own to ANY arch in Arches. Its a picture frame to the canyon. It was in our top 3 of...More

The early morning light on the Mesa Arch is wonderful. The hike to the arch is easy and well-marked and offers some nice views - but it is the Mesa Arch that is spectacular.

The hike is easy; the views at the arch are spectacular, especially if you go at sunrise. Be prepared, however, for a good number of "professional" photographers hogging up the best spots for photos at sunrise. At just about any other time, especially off season...More

We went in June, so it was well over 100 degrees. The walk is short and easy and WELL worth braving the heat! Lots of beautiful viewpoints for pictures.

Went up there with the family and this is an easy hike for everyone of all ages. It's a loop to go all the way through with the arch at the end. The view overlooking the canyon was pretty spectacular and worth your time

After the visitors center, we stopped for a hike to Mesa Arch with our kids. This is worthwhile. The hike is a loop trail and although it can be sunny and hot, it is beautiful. The arch comes into view on the trail and there...More

This was our first hike/stop at Canyonlands NP. This arch does not disappoint in terms of the insane views that it entails. The parking lot here was just large enough to accommodate, but if you get here late, you could find yourself having an issue...More

If you are staying in Moab. I would leave at least 75 minutes before sunrise (depending on hotel location maybe even earlier) The scenery on the way in is spectacular even 20 minutes before sunrise! Better to get there early... More

The arch is in the national park. Anyone can drive into the park to see the arch. If you want the pictures at sunrise, get there early. People are there up to an hour before sunrise to get the closest spots.

Absolutely, visit Canyonlands. Most of the great views in the Island in the Sky are only steps away from your vehicle...no hiking necessary. Mesa Arch does require a short hike and you will have to go over a small hill... More
