Easy hike, needs a few more cairns

Easy hike for most people. Probably best to go round the loop anti-clockwise. There is no way out... read more

Easy hike for most people. Probably best to go round the loop anti-clockwise. There is no way out the the Rim Overllok Trail without descending almost to the beginning. It could do with at least one more cairn directly after the mini-arch.

This is a scenic hike, moderately difficult due to uneven terrain and some steep inclines (although not too long - you can complete this in a couple of hours). Recommend walking boots and walking poles for this hike if you have them, and take water...More

You can see the Capitol Dome from the trailhead for the Hickman Bridge hike-- a sandstone dome that resembles the look of the United States Capitol. Hickman Bridge is a 2 mile round-trip hike with some rather challenging switchbacks in the beginning portion. There are...More

Not an easy hike. Labeled moderate but I thought I'd give it a try. Starts right off with up and up. Came to a path that was flat but realized a ways down was more up. I'm sure it is as beautiful as everything else...More

The Hickman Natural Bridge is very cool. The hike is a little steep but not too long and you go right underneath the bridge. Highly recommend, but do in the morning during summer because there is very little shade.

Bridge is neat. The trail is uphill. You gain 350' in elevation. Takes about 45 minutes to get there and 20 to get back. It is an exposed hike, so do it when it is cool or bring lots of water

This is a popular trail, even in hot weather, partly from the amenities of immediate parking, men/women restrooms, and the refreshing, swift-moving Fremont River hugging the trail head. The restrooms are a nice feature, although somehow both units became locked from the inside, causing certain...More

Last time we did this hike it was baking hot and quite hard work but this time we were blessed with mostly cloud and even a cooling shower. The hike up starts quite strenuously having to step up over a large random stone "staircase". Luckily...More

On this trip, we've walked monument valley, arches, canyonlands and Bryce, but this walk was by far my favourite. Its mainly uphill on the way, but it scrambling good fun. After the first bit by the river, you walk down into the canyon, out of...More
