Even the road getting here is amazing. The trail is easy. Lots of varied rock formations along the way. Be sure to walk up to the Tanks.

This dirt road looked very intriguing. It reminded me of road to historic sites in Jordon. Was scared to take my shiny new car down the road however, with all the suvs and trucks. It so looked like a movie set from the 1940's. Can...More

Worth it just for Beautiful drive getting to this trailhead parking area. Restrooms available. Interesting watching for writing on the rock walls, nice trail along stream. Hard to imagine when this "dugway" was the only road through the area.

The distances always seem under-estimated. It is a flat trail up the gorge, but there is no satifying goal unless you go up the the tanks. These are pools of water left over from the last rain. This part is short but is more of...More

This Capitol Gorge Trail is 2 miles round-trip. It is a flat gravel surface trail that is highly populated with numerous other hikers. Along the hike, you can see Fremont Indian petroglyphs (fainted) sun on the left side, you walk through a narrow gorge and...More

The video in the visitor center explained how the tanks are made. Persevere up the scramble trail to the Tanks and enjoy a restful few minutes before heading back.
