Hiked to the Cassidy Arch in June and was definitely worth the hike. The beginning is a little strenuous but after that its relatively easy to the top of the arch. The views are amazing and worth the hike. Took us about 3 hours round...More

Having grown up watching Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, I couldn't wait to hike this trail! I could just imagine them hiding out here. It is an exposed trail, so wear a hat and sunscreen and take plenty of water. There is a steady...More

Cassidy Arch is beautiful and I highly recommend adding this to your list of Capital Reef hikes! Make sure to bring lots of water, as there is very little covering from the sun.

Cassidy Arch is fine, but there are plenty of other arches that are much better. The key is not the arch but the journey (hike) to the arch and, once arrive there, the scenery surrounding the arch. The hike to the arch takes you through...More

Beautiful hike up about 700 ft and 1.5 miles in to a lovely and very accessible arch. Got to watch rock climbers rappel down! Highly recommended!

Gorgeous views. There is some scrambling. It's a long way down, so make sure your children can follow directions and are old enough that you won't worry about them falling.

We hiked Cassidy Arch in early March. Lots of climbing, but a great view from the top. Watch carefully for the cairns!

We had met a couple from Utah while at Arches and they highly recommended Cassidy Arch, so named because supposedly, Butch and his gang frequented these parts. You drive along the scenic byway in Capital Reef to get there. The hike is probably around 4...More

The trail is rough at the start especially in the heat. Its a little hard to follow at the top, just watch for the cairns. No shade on most of the trail. Good work out and beautiful arch! Bring a good amount of water.
