Having had a very early start to hike Cassidy Arch we found the park where the trail starts opposite Gifford House where we had stopped to get some (delicious) pies and coffee. We grabbed a table in the park and really enjoyed our breakfast picnic...More

We started by the amphitheater. We were parallel to the river and walking through tall greenish reeds. I felt uncomfortable being there and not being able to see if there was a snake or any other animal in those reeds. The foliage was thick and...More

I loved this trail. Easy start, along the river, and then the trail takes you up over 800 ft of elevation gain along the side of the canyon wall, offering amazing views. The trail is well marked, well maintain, and required some moderate effort, which...More

We jumped on the trail near the amphitheater. We walked southwest, which was along the river for a little while - passed a few horses and some sort of fruit bearing trees. Eventually, we were on the path, surrounded by foliage - to be frank,...More

My wife and I hiked the mostly level portion of this trail in mid-October 2016 while on a 5-park hiking tour of Utah’s national parks. This hike’s trailhead is at Gifford House and it runs beside the river, so it is a pleasant change to...More

This was well worth the small amount of effort. It was relaxing and the colours were gorgeous. It's not the craziest hike we did on our Utah trip, but it was a favourite.

This was a trail with a little bit of everything! First you start off on a nice easy walk along the river. Then you come upon an apricot orchard. They were ripe so we were able to pick some. They were really good. My 11...More

Don't let the flat path at the start fool you as this trail has a steep grade to navigate. No scrambling. Just steep. Views at top were good. We noticed a few hikers head back after the first lookout.

Seems like an easy hike at the beginning by the river then the hike up begins! Beautiful views. It is along the edges of the mountain so a little tough for those afraid of heights like me. But worth it. You can do it. Give...More

NPS describes this trail as an, "Easy stroll along river, then steep climb to panoramas." I was skeptical at first. We started near Gifford House and the beginning of the trail is narrow and a bit overgrown. While you can hear the river most of...More
