Good place to stop to shop for souvenirs, T-Shirts and the like. There is also a cafe here for a quick bite. If you want a full meal go over to the lodge dining room.

Even though the road was closed to cars past Discovery Point, lots of folks were out walking the road beyond the closure. Beautiful views, quiet. Better gift shop hete. We stayed one night at the lodge in a very comfortable queen standard room. You can't...More

We were at the Crater Lake Lodge the first week it was open. The Café and Gift Shop were still mostly buried in snow! The usual souvenirs and tchotchkes. Friendly staff. We were able to rent our snow shoes here.

Rim Village is the only vista point you can see Crater Lake from in the winter time. Even in early May all the other roads were closed because of the snow. It really offers spectacular views. Truly beautiful.

In winter, the north entrance to the park is closed and the rim roads are similarly blocked off. You'll hike through a little snow, but you have great views of the lake right outside of the Village gift shop. There is a small (but over-priced)...More

Rim Village is nothing special. The coffee and snacks aren't great and the gift shop is OK. But it does afford you a place out of the cold and some nice views from upstairs.
