We loved this drive and all the scenery along the way. Be sure to drive slowly and take in all of the stops along the way.

There is a relatively short one way circuit just off the Badwater Road, which includes very tight turns on a narrow, up and down, one-way road. We didn't know what to expect, so when we saw our first multicolor rock formations, we were extremely impressed....More

What a drive. Can't be beat. This is a one way drive so you should do this went you drive north from Badwater. THe colors in the rock are not to be believed pinks, green, gold, brown, tan, white, black... The road is fine. There...More

We drove around here some years ago and the area is still as spectacular. It's a must see drive. Take the drive at different times of the day to see the different colours.

One of the best little drives I have done. Never has a slow crawl been do much fun. I would buy tickets to do it again.

There is a hike at this location but it's not necessary as you can see the colors on the mountain side from the parking lot. Great quick trip with a nice reward.

Great colours but lack of signposting so I think I stopped before the main vantage point. I thought it was sufficient to see Artists Palette from the main road without the need for the Artists Drive to be honest

Not sure why this place is created separately here because as of my understanding this is part and parcel of Artist's Palette. If you come to visit Artist's Palette view point, you have to take the drive cause there is no way to skip this....More

Artist's Drive was the highlight of our one-day visit to Death Valley National Park. We saw amazingly colorful rock formations. The drive is very scenic. It is located reasonably close to the Furnace Creek Visitor Center.

I'm not sure why this one-way road will be closing, it looked to be in great condition when I was there. I would say the bicycles would be ok but that really depends on what they are doing to the road going through Artist's... More
