Overview

Running Eagle Falls is a highlight of a trip to Two Medicine. In the spring water rushes over the upper fall so thick that the lower fall is completely hidden. Later in summer, as flows decrease, the water seems to change course and flow almost exclusively out of the lower fall. It's easy to see why this waterfall used to be named Trick Falls. This area holds great religious significance for local Blackfeet tribal members. The park is in the process of creating a nature trail here to highlight the cultural significance of this unique spot.

first you have to drive around the south end of Glacier National Park and on around to the lower east side. A nice little hike with a wonderful view of these falls.

Running Eagle Falls is a short walk on even ground. It is perfect for people who have mobility issues. The falls themselves are small but the way they shoot out of the mountain make them unique.

A flat short hike to see beautiful falls. We saw this hike at the end of the season so only saw the water come out of the lower part of the falls and not over the top. Still very nice.

This was actually our favorite falls in Glacier Park. It is right in Two Medicine with a short flat walk. It is so unique because it flows right out of the mountain like a huge spring. It's not the largest falls but our favorite none...More

Flat, easy walk. As the park ranger said, "if it wasn't raining you could push a wheel chair". Even with the rain, snow, and puddles it was a worthwhile walk to a stunning waterfall.

This was a great way to start our vacation in Glacier National Park. It's about one half mile round trip, and the only person we couldn't participate would be with crutches or a wheelchair. But, there are plans I read, to make these falls accessible...More

This is a quick >1 mile hike that is very level to a beautiful waterfall that has a "trick" to it. When the water is heavy, it gushes over the top, but on lower water days, like the day I visited, it travels through a...More

An easy trail goes to the falls, which are a lovely, serene setting. You can stand in the water (but not for long - it's cold!) and picnic.
