On the Continental Divide, it is all downhill from here. Going-to-the-Sun Road goes through Logan Pass. The Visitor Center is here, with restrooms, gift shop and some helpful exhibits of flora and fauna (beargrass, anyone?). Parking is very crowded in season. Short hikes around the Visitor Center to stretch your legs. Longer hikes available.

Definitely spend a day here. Hiking is a must. Either the loop trail or the hidden lake trail. The gently sloping meadows are a great place to hike and just relax on the way to hidden lake.

Logan Pass is the place to be in Glacier National Park. The way there on the Going-to-the-Sun Highway is spectacular. Parking is a problem during the height of the season. The trail to Hidden Lake is crowded but you're still likely to see wildlife such as mountain goats. It is worth the hassle.

A lot of things come together to make this a beautiful but, often congested area so I highly recommend the free NPS shuttles that run on both sides of the park, There are some trails that begin at Logan Pass, visitor center, restrooms and wild life, views and you can catch the shuttles going either east or west. The weather... More

Just not enough parking on the side of the continental divide, unless you get there early, oh well. We drove around the packed lot for at least 10 minutes, I guess I'll have to go get a handicap parking sticker to have a chance.

As with most of the reviewers, we went only as far as the top of the trail to see the lake. We saw a lot of goats along the way and beautiful fields of wild flowers. Bring something to eat as there are wonderful rocks at the top to sit upon and enjoy taking a break and taking in the... More

We got to the mostly-empty parking lot at dawn and had a bite to eat from our cooler. We then headed up the trail. It's a fairly easy walk for quite a while since it's a boardwalk, and only gets steep/rocky near the end. We only went as far as the overlook to the lake, but you can keep going... More

My family and I hiked to where you start descending down to hidden lake when it started to rain so we turned back. We saw marmots and mountain goats and the views were simply amazing! World class! It is an easy trail that is suitable for both young and old who are not terribly out of shape.

Imagine you are in summer and as you drive up the mountain it changes. At the peak there is snow. There is also a little village where you can rent a cabin and go hiking on the different trails. Oh and if you are lucky yu might see mountain goats among the rock formation.

This is a great half-way stop when driving the Going-to-the-sun-Road! Amazing trail to which we seen goats and of course the spectacular views!
