After hiking Highline from Logan Pass to the Chalet, we continued on after a lunch stop at the Chalet and did the 4 miles down to the Loop. Beautiful trail but it was a long day - lot of descending on this trail but it...More

Love this hike. We always come from Logan Pass and then down to the Loop or over Swift Current Pass to the other side. The route from the Loop has more vertical gain in a shorter distance.

Breathtaking views, fresh mountain air & lots of wild life to see. Who wouldn't want to add Granite Park Trail to their itinerary? We'll be heading back there again this September to take a grand daughter who has never been there.

This 8-mile round trip trail gains about 2,200 feet of altitude. It starts out in patchy forest, carving out two huge switchbacks into the hillside before cresting out at the top of a flat hill. The last half a mile to the chalet is a...More

We did this section as a loop from Many Glacier Hotel to Granite Chalet (via Swiftcurrent Pass) and then out to Logan pass. The trail is modest in elevation gain/loss. Extremely scenic with good chances for wildlife. We saw a marmot, grizzly, amd sheep on...More

We hiked up from the loop parking area - it's about 4 miles but 2200 feet elevation gain - we are in our 50's so it was a bit of a challenge - but not really too bad. Probably a better way would be to...More
